The Ironworkers Memorial Bridge is blocked northbound between Vancouver and North Vancouver Thursday afternoon after a vehicle caught fire midspan.

Emergency crews are blocking all northbound lanes and one southbound lane as they respond to the fire.

Northbound traffic along Highway 1 is backed up all the way to the intersection with Willingdon Avenue.
