Barcelona’s return to the Camp Nou has been postponed again, as the Spanish champions announced on Thursday that the stadium will not be ready to host their upcoming Champions League match against Olympiakos.

The Catalan giants had hoped to obtain a permit from the city council for their third European game on October 21, but instead, the match will take place at the Olympic stadium.

Barca suffered a 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday at the same venue.

“The club is continuing to work to obtain the necessary administrative permits for the opening of the Camp Nou in the coming days," stated Barca.

More than two years since renovation works began, the iconic stadium is still not ready for matches, even with reduced capacity.
