TIPTON, Ind. — A Tipton man is behind bars after police say he allegedly shot a man Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release from Indiana State Police, shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 1, Tipton officers were called to a residence in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street on a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot.
Detectives with Indiana State Police were then called in to conduct the investigation. Their investigation led them to suspect a 32-year-old Tipton man shot the victim at least once.
Police booked the suspect at the Tipton County Jail on preliminary charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal confinement, neglect of a dependent, criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm — all felonies.
