Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has been released from custody after serving less than three days in a Williamson County jail, The Tennessean has confirmed.

A Williamson County judge ordered Cutler to serve a four-day sentence after he pleaded guilty to DUI in August.

A request for comment on why Cutler was released early from the jail has not been returned as of press time for this story.

Culter was originally arrested in October 2024. The Franklin Police Department was called to the 200 block of Bridge Street after investigators said Cutler, driving a White Dodge Ram pick-up truck, rear-ended a GMC on Oct. 17, 2024.

The former football star offered the driver of the GMC cash to let him drive away, an affidavit said.
