New Mexico State (2-2, 0-1 Conference USA) will face Sam Houston (0-4, 0-1) in its first conference weekday matchup of the season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at home and will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
The Aggies will be without several starters for Thursday's game. Left tackle Ma'Kyi Lee is already out for the season from an ACL injury suffered in Week 1, and center Kai Wheeler's concussion will leave NM State down two offensive line starters against the Bearkats . Linebacker Tyler Martinez and running back Dijon Stanley will also miss with a lower-body injury and a concussion, respectively, while linebacker Sone Aupiu is questionable with a lower-body injury. Defensive tackle Cole Schnettgoecke will miss the first half after being ejected from the fourth quarter
