A Harrisburg woman who shot her boyfriend in the thigh after an argument about him trying to drive while intoxicated pleaded guilty to aggravated assault this week.
Carla Torruellas-Natal, 32, was trying to keep her then-boyfriend from driving under the influence the night of Feb. 9 outside her home at Harrisburg Park Apartments on South 15th Street, police said.
He slapped her, pushed her twice, threatened her and prepared to leave the area in her car as she called 911. During the call, her boyfriend left her vehicle, so she shot him in the thigh, police said. Police said at the time the injury was non-life-threatening.
