PERHAM, Minnesota — Otter Tail County authorities identified a man who was killed in a traffic accident on Monday outside Perham.

Police said Robert Stelzer, 65, of Detroit Lakes, was driving his motorcycle west on Fort Thunder Road when he went through a stop sign, striking an oncoming vehicle at the intersection with County Highway 125.

County officials said the driver of the second vehicle, a 33-year-old man in a pick-up truck, was uninjured.

Stelzer died at the scene despite life-saving attempts by emergency responders, according to the sheriff's office.
