WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — For the last 38 years, Young Woods Park has sat along George Street in Williamsport . The space was a gift from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Since then, it's been well-loved by the community.

"There has been a lot of community feedback during Mayor Slaughter's administration that parks and recreation are really important to the people in this community, so we're listening to what the community wants and we've been fortunate to receive $803,000 in grant funding to upgrade this park," said Valerie Fessler, City of Williamsport Director of Community and Economic Development.
