AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - Auburn Police, with help from the Shorter Police Department, arrested a Tuskegee man for vehicle theft earlier this week.
On Oct. 1, officers took 23-year-old Dion Jaquan Pickett into custody on a charge of theft of property first degree.
The case began Sept. 29 when Auburn Police received a report that a vehicle had been stolen from a business in the 800 block of Opelika Road. Investigators identified Pickett as a suspect.
On Oct. 1, Shorter Police located the stolen vehicle in Shorter, Alabama, and found Pickett nearby. He was arrested, though officials say he did not comply with police during the process. Shorter Police also charged him with resisting arrest.
