JEFFERSON CITY — When three politicians reported trading blows in north St. Louis County last month, they joined a lineup of elected Missouri officials who have chosen fisticuffs over reasoned debate to settle disagreements.

From barroom tussles between lawmakers to punches thrown in Jefferson City alleyways, add Sen. Angela Mosley to the roster of legislative brawlers who have walked the corridors of the Capitol.

St. Louis County Councilwoman Shalonda Webb said Mosley and her sister, former county councilwoman Rochelle Walton Gray, attacked her after a town hall meeting at Bellefontaine Neighbors City Hall late last month. Webb has sought a protection order against the pair, and Mosely and Gray have sued her over the incident.
