Orange County Fire and Rescue released two reports Thursday indicating a team of Universal Orlando Resort paramedics tried to save Kevin Rodriguez Zavala when the roller coaster ride came to an end.
According to the reports, paramedics were giving CPR and using a defibrillator on Zavala to try and revive him.
The CAD report also indicates that Orange County paramedics found Zavala still in his seat, restrained by a lap bar, as life-saving measures were administered.
A medical examiner determined that the man, who used a wheelchair because of a spinal cord injury, died of multiple blunt impact trauma. Zavala was riding on the dual launch roller coaster called Stardust Racers, when the incident occurred Sept. 17 at roughly 9 p.m.
