PHOENIX — A SAFE Alert has been issued for a missing 59-year-old man last seen in Mesa, authorities announced Thursday.

Ronald Mounts was last seen on foot leaving his residence near Gilbert and Baseline roads at noon on Monday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).

He has a medical condition that causes him to appear lost or easily confused, DPS said.

He is 6 feet and 5 inches tall and 220 pounds with brown eyes and salt and pepper hair. DPS said he was wearing brown shorts, a gray shirt with holes and a tan shoulder bag when he went missing.
