Dundee star Emile Acquah’s preparations for Aberdeen have gone down the drain after a freak shower injury. ‌

The striker hasn’t been able to train so far, after he slipped and almost broke his toe. ‌

Steven Pressley admitted it was a "freakish" accident but hopes his summer signing from AFC Barrow will be able to recover and help sink Aberdeen. ‌

The head coach confirmed: “Emile Acquah hasn't trained this week thus far.

“He's had a fall in the shower and nearly broke his toe. It’s not ideal but hopefully he'll be okay come the weekend.

“It's a freakish one but it’s not broken so we’re hopeful he’ll be available.” ‌

Dundee have a few other injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s trip north, although captain Simon Murray is fit.
