Ivy Tech President Marty Pollio spoke on the state of the community college system during a public address Thursday, where he discussed recent successes and priorities for the institution over the next few years.
Pollio became the 10th president of Ivy Tech on July 1 , succeeding former Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann. He previously served as superintendent of Jefferson County Public School District, the largest district in Kentucky.
In his remarks at the Terre Haute campus, Pollio noted that enrollment had grown 17% since 2016, with 190,820 enrolled last school year, representing 3% of Indiana's entire population.
