KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — For the second year in a row, Muse Knoxville was recognized by the state for its commitment to employment first.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee visited the children’s museum Thursday, where he received its "Expect Employment" report, highlighting its work to increase competitive employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

“What happens out here is where people's lives are really changed,” said Lee.

As he addressed the room, Lee praised the work done by the museum, specifically through its Muse Ambassador Program.

“The Muse ambassador program are adults with superpowers, I like to say superpowers, but they are our special needs adults who come in and get workforce development,” said Muse Knoxville community programs manager Eva Kyle.
