FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A fire spread rapidly through a house and extended to a neighboring home in northeast Fresno on Thursday afternoon.
Just after 12:30 p.m., Fresno Fire received multiple calls reporting a house fire on the 2800 block of E. Brandywine Lane.
When firefighters arrived, they reported seeing heavy smoke and flames coming from a two-story home and requested additional resources.
During the fire, portions of the roof collapsed. Due to the fire spreading, it extended to a neighboring home, causing only cosmetic damage.
The first home had significant damage, displacing the residents inside.
Two occupants who were inside the home were able to escape, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
