Tulsa-area mental health providers said this week they've been notified of further reductions in their contracts with the financially disarranged Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
Adam Andreassen, executive director of Family & Children's Services of Tulsa, said he's been informed state payments to the nonprofit agency will be reduced by $4.4 million, and Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols said he believes the total for all area agencies is around $8 million.
The cuts appear to be on top of $40 million in reductions disclosed in August .
