Week 6 of the Texas high school football season is here.

After an entertaining start to the 2025 campaign, many teams in the Texas Panhandle will play their final non-district games this week.

The Amarillo-area's four-team districts still have a few weeks until district play starts, as schools like River Road, Dalhart and Bushland continue non-district competition with solid matchups. Additionally, many teams in the region are off this week to prepare for the start of district play.

Other programs like Tascosa, Amarillo High and Caprock, have already begun the District 3-5A Division I slate and will continue their hunt for a district title on Friday.
