Melanie Green has earned her LPGA spot next year, but still focused on winning

Melanie Green insists she hasn’t really thought about 2026 in recent weeks.

“We’re not done with 2025 yet,” said Green after the first round of the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells Golf Resort.

Green could be forgiven if she had thought a little bit about what is ahead for her in 2026. As the leader on the Epson Tour season-long points list entering the Tour Championship this week, Green has already clinched a playing exemption for the LPGA next year. That means the 23-year-old Green’s next start of consequence after the season-ending Tour Championship this week will likely be on the LPGA with more money and more exposure.
