WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man made his first appearance in Sedgwick County District Court on Thursday, facing multiple criminal sex charges involving a child.

Mark Permenter II is charged with the following offenses: • Aggravated indecent liberties with a child; offender aged 18 or older fondling a child under 14 (2 counts) • Aggravated indecent solicitation of a child; engaging in a sexual act with a child under 14 • Aggravated criminal sodomy; offender aged 18 or older with a child under 14 (7 counts) • Aggravated indecent liberties with a child; offender under 18 fondling a child under 14 • Rape; offender aged 18 or older with a victim under 14 years of age • Electronic solicitation; offender believes the child is under 14
