The former owner of a pool company who is accused of stealing from customers and leaving a trail of unfinished projects across Massachusetts is expected to enter a plea in his criminal case.

In the wake of an NBC10 Boston investigation, Steve Docchio was arrested on a warrant in 2023 after a Plymouth County grand jury indicted the contractor on multiple felony charges, including larceny.

During a recent hearing in Plymouth Superior Court, Judge William Sullivan huddled with the prosecutor and Docchio's public defenders at a prolonged sidebar before the judge addressed the court. The state has permanently revoked the registration of a contractor profiled in a series of NBC10 Boston Investigators reports.
