MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) - The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a lawsuit against Montrose Regional Health in the San Juan Valley on Tuesday. The claim? That MRH is once again in violation of federal law, this time for allegedly harassing and discriminating against older nurses and retaliating against them when they complained.
In a press release, the nurses were said to be harassed by two managers, one of which who said she wanted “younger nurses [to] take over,” wanted “more youthful and energetic” staff, and claimed older workers were “lazy” or not willing to work hard.
