Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department announced the arrest of a 52-year-old woman in connection with a body found in the trunk of a car in a South Los Angeles tow yard.

Sandra Romo Diaz, a resident of Los Angeles, was arrested Sept. 16 after search warrants were executed at multiple locations, police said in a news release.

She has since been charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office with murder.
