DALLAS (KNWA/KFTA) — After more than three decades, it's time to say goodbye to one of Chili's mainstay menu items: the skillet queso.

Chili's announced on Thursday that it would be ditching its Beef Skillet Queso and White Queso and replacing them with a new Southwest Queso.

The Dallas-based restaurant chain said in a news release that the skillet queso is one of its least popular menu items, accounting for less than 1% of sales. The skillet quesos will be on the menu until Oct. 6, Chili's says.

The Dallas Morning News reports that the skillet quesos have been on Chili's menus since the 1990s.
