SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman was arrested for murder after a body was discovered inside a vehicle at a tow lot in South Los Angeles last month , police announced Thursday.

Sandra Romo Diaz, 52, of Los Angeles, was taken into custody on September 16, one week after a person was found dead inside a car at Al's Towing on St. Andrews Place.

Police said Diaz was arrested after search warrants were served at multiple locations. She remains in jail.

AIR7 was overhead as the investigation was unfolding that day and captured tents set up over a Honda sedan parked in the tow yard. It appeared the back of the car had been burned.

The body found in the vehicle has not been identified.

This is not the same case in which a body was found inside a Tesla registered to the singer D4vd.
