LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
As Louisville grapples with youth violence, Stephan Robinson is working every day to prevent it.
He's a community outreach worker and change agent with the Office of Violence Prevention, and works with multiple clients through the Pivot to Peace program.
A former college football player, he wants to give back to the community he also grew up in.
"It's a blessing," he said. "It's not for everyone, but it's, it's much needed. My work is real. It's needed. It's every day, all day."
He works with middle and high school students, as well as college students.
"I go out, check on and follow up with, making sure that they're not doing anything that they don't have no business doing, any burden that they're dealing with," he said. "I try to take it off."
