WILLIAMSPORT — The Williamsport Area School District says it should be granted summary judgment in a suit arising from a 2018 sexual assault of a high school baseball player because there is no genuine dispute of material facts.
The district in filings Wednesday in the U.S. Middle District Court contends that facts obtained in depositions do not support the claims of the victim , identified as John Doe.
The incident that is the basis of the litigation occurred in the Atlantica Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in March 2018 while the baseball team was there for a tournament.
