The Ottawa-Kent Red Division race heats up Friday night when the undefeated Hudsonville Eagles (5-0, 3-0) travel to Carlson-Munger Stadium to face the Rockford Rams (4-1, 3-0) in a pivotal conference matchup.

The Eagles, led by senior quarterback Brady Van Laecke, shut out Jenison 42-0 last week as junior Wyatt Vanassen’s first-quarter rushing touchdown gave Hudsonville the only score it needed.

The Rams look to avenge last season’s 28-21 road loss to Hudsonville while building on their own dominant defensive showing — a 28-0 blanking of visiting Grandville . Rockford ’s offense has found its rhythm behind senior running back Luke Ahern and sophomore quarterback Casen Whitford, who has stepped up in place of injured senior Brayden Daniels.
