Brantford Collegiate Institute’s senior boys volleyball team is trending in the right direction.
Hosting St. John’s College in an Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk match on Thursday, the Mustangs were beaten 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21 and 15-12.
Despite not coming away with the victory, BCI coach Kim Rombough said her team is showing improvement.
“I told them to hold their heads high because if we played (SJC) the first two games of the season, we would have lost in three,” Rombough said.
“We’ve come a long way.”
The Mustangs (3-3) came into the season on a high as the defending AABHN champions. However, losing five starters meant this was going to be a building year.
