ROCKFORD, Ill. — A local diaper drive kicked off on Wednesday.

The City of Rockford, partnering with Goodwill of Northern Illinois and Rock Valley College, is hosting a diaper drive to benefit the Baby Bank, a local non-profit that provides diapers to families in need. Since 2018, the Baby Bank has given over 900,000 diapers to northern Illinois families.

“This is such an important service because diapers are not covered by WIC. Any supplies or monetary donations one hundred percent go directly back into the community,” emphasized The Baby Bank Founder and President Anna Pivoras.

The Baby Bank holds two distributions a month handing out diapers, wipes, and other hygiene necessities.
