Iknow the celebration is past, but I can’t get Danish out of my head.

I love Danish Days, Solvang’s heritage is to be praised and celebrated — well done guys … again!

September, in my mind, is “month of Danes” and I’m extending it a little further with recipes for the popular æbleskiver and klejner, two seriously delicious fried dough treat.

If you tend to hover/cower at home during the late September weekend, you are missing out on a good time. From dancing, music and parade to a street full of æbleskiver, Solvang pulls out stops and has a good time.

Hats off to dedicated crews who pulled this off. I know from personal experience the been-there- done -that feeling that represents the heart and pride of Solvang’s history.
