Family of man shot by Phoenix PD near 7th and Southern avenues speak with ABC15

Officers arrived at the scene and were attempting to safely make contact with the individual when he ran out of the home and toward officers, leading to a confrontation. Less-lethal means were used to attempt to stop the man, but they did not stop his behavior, leading to a shooting involving officers.
