HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The state Department of Health announced Thursday that a freeze-dried fruit product is being recalled due to a potential metal hazard.
Georgia Nut Company, a third-party manufacturer, issued a recall of TruFru’s freeze-dried products, said the DOH.
The product was sold across the U.S., including in Hawaii in stores like Target, Whole Foods, and Walmart, officials said.
The recall impacts TruFru freeze-dried strawberries in dark and white chocolate and TruFru freeze-dried strawberries and creme.
