JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – When Maria Sabrina Mezyk rang the bell at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in December 2022, signifying the completion of her breast cancer treatment, she was ready to move on with her life.

“I was resuming regular life with no more treatments, and everything was good until March 2023,” the 36-year-old Westmont resident said. “I started having immense headaches to the point where, all of April, I couldn’t lie flat to sleep because it was such pressure and it felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head.” ×
