LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Clark County School District elementary school teacher was arrested on charges related to child abuse, according to police.
Tiersa Baughman, 52, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 1. The arrest stems from an investigation at Doris Hancock Elementary School, Clark County School District police said.
Baughman is a teacher assigned to Hancock Elementary School and has been employed by the District since February 2004. Per the negotiated agreement with the bargaining unit, she will be assigned to home when released, according to police.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has informed CCSDPD that a recent U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling prevents LVMPD from disseminating booking photos.
