Starting today, 300 shelters across the country are offering reduced adoption fees as part of Bissell's "Empty the Shelters" event, which has already helped more than 360,000 pets find homes since 2016.

In Oklahoma, Pets and People in Yukon is participating. Executive director and nine-year-old rescue dog Jack sat down with News 9 to talk about the event, how the shelters work and how the community can get involved.
