TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A Stratollite balloon, launched by World View Enterprises, Inc., is currently flying over North Tucson after its initial launch.

Phil Wocken from World View Enterprises said, "That is one of our long-duration, altitude-controlled Stratollites."

Wocken stated that the Statollite is more sophisticated than a typical weather balloon.

The Stratollite was launched from Tucson on Sept. 3 , and traveled to the Atlantic for a communications mission, and has now returned to Southern Arizona. During its current flight over the region, the company will test new on-board system advancements.
