AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Golden Harvest Food Bank is aiming to scare off hunger this fall.

The nonprofit organization kicked off October with its “Spooky to be Hungry” campaign, seeking to raise $400,000 to provide one million meals to those in need.

The Garden City Rescue Mission has officially changed its name to the Garden City Gospel Mission.

“We have about 10,000 of these spooky bins going out into the community. They’re very sturdy boxes. As you can see, they fit a lot of canned goods,” said Abby Muehlfeld, Vice President of Marketing at Golden Harvest.
