COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Columbia County School District has announced Tiffany Tanner as the 2026 Teacher of the Year.

Tanner was honored during a ceremony held at the Columbia County Exhibition Center on Tuesday.

In addition to the winner, four other finalists were in attendance, including the following nominees:

Jona Gaskin from Westmont Elementary School

Kirsten Matthis from Evans High School

Lauren O’Neil from Cedar Ridge Elementary School

Tiffany Tanner from Parkway Elementary School

Nancy Morris from Columbia Middle School

Tanner expressed her gratitude for being honored as teacher of the year.
