FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A major traffic change is coming to Franklin as a downtown development project starts ramping up construction.

South Margin Street will permanently close between Columbia Avenue and Cummins Street. This is all a part of the Margin District development happening downtown, which will bring underground parking, commercial, office and retail space to the area.

The Margin District is a $165 million project that will feature 25 luxury residential units ranging in size from 2,000 to 3,500 square feet with a price tag of over $2 million. The development will serve as an addition and new attraction to downtown Franklin and Main Street.
