It’s fine-tuning time for most on the pebbled ice of WinSport Event Centre.

Especially for those teams ticketed to play in the 2025 Home Hardware Canadian Curling Pre-Trials.

Because the event to determine the two last teams for the country’s much-hyped Olympic trials is just weeks away.

“This week for us is to prepare for the pre-trials,” said Ontario’s Sam Mooibroek, of the five-day PointsBet event on now through Sunday in Calgary. “Honestly, the conversation with the team coming in isn’t if we go 0-4 or 4-0 — that’s not the goal. The goal is to be prepared, feel good about ourselves and feel confident going into pre-trials.
