BRYAN, Texas — One person is dead and another is injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Bryan, the Bryan Police Department has announced.

According to police, officers responded to a major crash near the intersection of SH 30 and Hardy Weedon Road around 2:17 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Police said a preliminary investigation suggests that an F-150 was driving east on SH 30 when it hit the rear of a Nissan Armada. The F-150 then continued to travel east, losing control and driving into the westbound lanes where it hit an Infiniti SUV, police said.

The driver of the F-150 was taken to the hospital where they later died, according to police. The driver of the Infiniti was also reportedly taken to the hospital in "critical condition."

Police said the occupants of the Armada were not injured
