A movie theatre in Canada's Ontario province has halted the screening of Indian films after it was targeted in an arson and shooting attack within a week. Authorities at Film.ca Cinemas, located in Oakville town, have linked the back-to-back violent attacks to the theatre's choice of screening of South Asian.

The first incident occurred on September 25, when two suspects attempted to set fire to the theatre’s entrance using red gas cans.

Halton Regional Police reported that the fire was contained to the exterior, causing moderate damage but not spreading inside the building.

Security footage revealed a grey SUV circling the parking lot multiple times before a white vehicle arrived. Two individuals were seen pouring flammable liquid and igniting the fire before leaving the scene.
