LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- In a vote of 101-8, the Michigan House of Representatives passed the general omnibus spending bill Thursday night, sending the bill to the Michigan Senate. This spending bill is separate from the Michigan School Aid Fund that the legislature was constitutionally required to pass by July 1.
The vote came at around 9:45 p.m. on day two of the state government operating without a budget in place, working under a continuation deal that keeps the government funded until Oct. 8.
