MUNCIE, Ind. — A lottery ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Muncie this week.

The Hoosier Lottery announced Thursday that a Powerball ticket sold at Riggin Road C-Store at 4849 N. Broadway Ave. matched four of the five numbers plus the Powerball in Wednesday's drawing.

The winning numbers in the Oct. 1, 2025 drawing were 8-17-22-28-55 with a Powerball of 14.

Hoosier Lottery officials encourage the winner to ensure their ticket is in a secure place, then contact the Hoosier Lottery at 1-800-955-6886 for specific instructions to claim their prize.

The jackpot for the next Powerball drawing, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4, is estimated at $195 million.
