GREENSBORO, N.C. — Four years is a long time to live with unanswered questions related to the death of your child. For one North Carolina mother, that wait ended today with news of two arrests connected to the murder of her son and his best friend.

October 30, 2021 — Gunfire on Warren and Brice streets in Greensboro left two young men dead: 19-year-old Delorion Smith and 20-year-old Kwashawn Tyson.

The case went unsolved for years, leaving their families in pain and searching for answers.

"My main question is why? …why?" said Shavonda Collins, mother of Delorion Smith.

Nearly four years later, Greensboro police announced two arrests in the case: Trevon Jennings and Antonio Rogers, both now charged with two counts of murder.

It's a relief for Smith's mother but she still wonders... why
