The new political party set up by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and MP Zarah Sultana is to host a rally in Coventry . The temporarily named Your Party is encouraging local supporters to lend their support to the cause on Friday 17 October.
The rally will start at 7pm at Methodist Central Hall, Warwick Lane, in the city centre. The main speakers will be Ms Sultana herself, MP for Coventry South and co-leader of the new party, former local MP and councillor Dave Nellist, and current councillor for the city's Westwood ward, Grace Lewis, who has left Labour to join the new party earlier this year.
It is expected up to 800 people will attend the event, which is being organised by John Boadle.
