The Buffalo Planning Board on Monday will continue its public hearing into Richard and Patrick McNamara's plan to turn a longtime industrial site between West Ferry and West Utica streets into a multistory apartment complex.

Dubbed Diamond Lofts for the former Diamond Moving & Storage building that still stands at the site, it would feature 174 apartments and 169 parking spaces in both a seven-story warehouse they would renovate and a new five-story building they want to erect.

The $50 million project entails both a historic adaptive-reuse of one commercial block building, and a brownfield cleanup of the polluted site.
