A baby girl is alive and recovering Thursday thanks to the heroic, quick-thinking response from a grandfather and Upland police officers.
"Is the baby breathing? Please, I’ve never dealt with this. Please save my baby!" the worried mother is heard in a video released by Upland PD.

The body cam footage shows officers on Monday, around 2 p.m., responding to a call of a baby not breathing near 13th Street and Campus Avenue.
"I noticed she wasn’t moving. I turned her around and grabbed her and mouth was purple and she wasn’t breathing. Her whole body was limp," said Desiree Martinez, the mother of baby Beya. "It’s the scariest thing any parent can go through."
