BELFRY, Ky. (WYMT) - Belfry football hosted East Ridge in their homecoming game and won, 56-7.

The Pirates scored on their first drive of the night, thanks to a 35-yard receiving touchdown by JB Woolum.

Going into the second quarter, Matt Varney’s unit led, 7-0.

With 10:37 remaining before the half, Chase Varney kept the ball on a Quarterback keeper, running it for approximately five yards before pitching the ball off to Ace Caudill, who went the rest of the way to score the Pirates second touchdown of the night.

Woolum would score a 60-yard rushing touchdown next, putting Belfry ahead 21-0 with a little more than six minutes remaining in the first half.

Belfry would force a Warrior turnover on downs after Woolum’s score.

The Pirates followed the turnover on downs with a 65-yard pass
